Sky Blue Guest House outdoor facilities
At the front of the house I have an EV charger which uses domestic rate electricity and is accessible with a code. Please ask for more information if you wish to charge your electric vehicle during your visit.
Also at the front is the keysafe; you'll be sent instructions where to find it.
At the back of the house, which faces south, there is a lovely garden being created, overlooked by a large patio where you'll find the hot tub.
All are reachable via the sun room. The hot tub belongs to Sky Blue Guest House and is for general use by guests and the host and therefore won't be emptied between guest visits.
For this reason you are asked to sign a disclaimer; you will be shown how to use the hot tub first, as they are all slightly different.
Remember to please bring your own swimming towels (and a costume!) and a plastic bag is useful to take home damp swimwear.
You can also request times when nobody else will be using the hot tub and every effort will be made to accommodate this.

The location
The house is in a quiet residential area. There is plenty of parking either on the drive or in the street and it's on a good bus route to the town, Stagecoach Route 63. It's a short walk downhill to the bus-stop going into Stroud and at the end of a tiring day the drop-off bus stop is at the end of the road, within sight of the house. There are also plenty of taxis, though do book ahead for evenings/weekends. I can recommend taxi services if needed.
There are plenty of good places to eat in Stroud, including our nearest pub The Old Crown, which is in walking distance providing you are ok with an uphill walk home. Also recommended (i.e. tested by Sky Blue Guest House) are The Rajdoot Indian restaurant and takeaway, Sorrento, Italian restaurant and Simpson's Fish and Chips, which sells truly exceptional fish. These are just a very few places, however, and most cuisines are well represented in the area.
Just across the road from Sky Blue Guest House is access to lovely walks.

Stroud and surrounding areas
Stroud is a lovely town with an award-winning Farmers Market every Saturday, which is well worth a visit. There are many festivals held here throughout the year, such as Food and Drink and Fringe festivals. There is plenty of live music in several local pubs and some quite big acts are booked in Stroud Subscription Rooms.
History
Arts and Crafts have been a part of Stroud's history for centuries and these days there are always plenty of exhibitions in the area, together with a large variety of Arts and Crafts courses. The town was built around the many rivers so that woollen mills could be used.
Sky Blue Guest House is an ideal spot to stay, whether you are here for a course, for work, to visit friends & family or just for a holiday.
